Check Kay Miss X

The time she entered our classroom last June 16, 2011, I got full of questions in my head. Where is Sir Andi? Where is Sir Andi? What about the assignment Sir Andi gave us last tuesday? Why do we have to have a new Comski teacher after a day? I don't know. Maybe because from the first meeting we had with Sir Andi, I already enjoyed it and I didn't found it boring. When she entered our room, the atmosphere seemed different. Plus, there is another "teacher-to-be" (I guess) who landed in our class who is to be evaluated for some time of our 1 hour and 30 minutes class. I sooo can't understand what he was talking about that day. Oh! It's about paraphrasing. The activity our new teacher gave us saved us from sinking to the sea of boredom.

Her name is Miss Xanadu Justiniani, but she prefered to be called "Miss X". Pretty cool. :)

Some may say that first impressions last, some may say the vice versa of that depending on the situation they experience. After 1 1/2 months of her presence, I just find her so cool. She's a already a mom, but I can't see her totally like one. I mean, not the bad kind who's not caring one, but the way she acts in front of the class makes us comfortable with her and with the subject. She's lovable and caring in her own way. Trust me! ;)

My first impression of her is she's a strict teacher! That JRF303 is gonna be like a refrigerator from 3:55 to 5:25. I was wrong. Us students, hates boredom, and so does she. So every meeting, she has different "pakulo", and activities, which on the other hand is also educational.

My highschool classmates say that their Comski is boring. Like there is the same activity every meeting. Thinking that I have the right to brag, we experience our Comski1 the other way around. Miss X + my naughty and funny classmates(boys) + Audience/Laugh-ers (girls) = So much fun!

One time, she brought her camera at school and we had our Comski1 class picture (sort of). Too bad we're not complete. Wait, did I told you that her camera is a DSLR? Alright, I just told you. Haha! And she also brought her Octopus Tripod. It's so cute, 'cause it's so funky, it's kind of luminous green and the joints are somewhat big, bigger than a jackstone ball (I guess?). Some of my classmates never thought it was a tripod. See how cool it is?

She shouts at us, she complains about our attitude and more, kulang nalang, mag-wave sya ng white flag, but as I've told you, she's sweet and caring in her own way. She may do those things to us, to some of us, but there is a reason behind those things. Like when she told a guy classmate of ours to stand and face the corner of the room, and made two naughty boys to hold hands, she made them do that not for shame, but for them to realize that they have done something wrong. We got touched when she said "Alam nyo ba na kayo ang pinaka-paborito kong klase?", but suddenly, "Yes, sinasabi ko yan sa lahat ng klase ko". Haha! I don't know if she's joking or not, but I know in our hearts, that IT1B loves Miss X. :)

When the bell of dismissal rings, she'll exclaim, "Hay Salamat!" and "GOODBYE AND GET LOST!" We'll just laugh. :))

GOODBYE AND GET LOST!!! =))

Last Friday Night

After what happened earlier, and since I can't blurt all out what I wanted to say on facebook, I just felt like I need to spill it all out here.

Define party. First thought, fun. But what happened earlier?

Two days ago, while canvassing clothes for the FAP, I was thinking, "What are we gonna do there? If there are programs such as Froshies Got Talent, and Mr. & Ms. Froshies, and the event starts at 12:30 and ends at 7pm, most probably, all were gonna do there is sit and feed our eyes for the whole 6 hours and 30 minutes!". Oh well, as I've expected, that's what actually happened.

Being the queen of procrastination, I arrived at DLSL Sentrum at 1:30pm, I think? Well who cares? It just lessen the pain my butt received from sitting the whole event. Days before, me, plus some people I know are complaining about our dress code. Red with scarf or bandana. The event is afternoon, so we're thinking that it would be hot. In our surprise, it rained hard today. I was thinking that God heard all our complains so he made some liquid from the sky to fall to make it cold. K. Define me this day: vintage-y. LOL.

So this is what's more on what happened today. When I entered the hall, bands are performing, I think they're the bandista of DLSL. Then, the presentation of the Mr.&Ms. Froshies took place. Everyone sure has their own bets.
Dance Number from Mr&MsFAP
Then, the froshies got talent. A lot of people are so amazed with the 1st performer. He played medly songs on the keyboard and made the audience go giddy on every song he played. I was hit with what one of the emcee said. "Most houses have an organ in their house, but none of the family members knows how to play that thing." (ouch) The second performers are twins. Both sang, while one is playing the guitar. They reminded me of Krissy and Ericka. :) 3rd is ala-Richard Poon. From his one word definition to his performance, he's really jazzy. 2nd to the last is a girl with high self-confidence who sang a techno song of Lady Gaga. We were so amazed with her performance, 'cause inspite of the incident that happened to her on the stage, the show must really go on. Luckily from what had happened, she won. YAY! :) And the last contestant is a human beatboxer. Spell COOL! B-) It's my first time to see an actual human beatboxer.

I didn't know that there are some freaky-fan girls there too. Sir Joseph Ng, a faculty from the NSTP Department, also our NSTP teacher is like a campus crush. LOL. Some girls from the Marketing Department freaked out when he gave a sample wherein he sang. Gosh! But true, he got looks and brains. :)
CBEAM Department
The Mr&Ms FAP candidates finally came out after a decade of waiting! They modeled the different attires of different La Salle Schools all over the world. Most of the attires are gowns and so fancy clothes. I wonder if that's what the students wear there. It's so weird! But it's cool to know those attires though. :) Congrats to the winners. I know you all deserve that! \m/

Salindayaw. Everyone's most favorite thing to see. I believe to what one of the emcees there said, "Talaga namang kung ikaw ay nagsasaing, ay masusunog ang iyong sinaing pag napanood mo sila". I so agree. I guess, they are part of 70% of the event. They're so cool, as in cool. I wonder where do they get all those energy they use for every move. SUPERB!
Salindayaw. (sorry it's blurred but I promise you, they're all good!
Tik tok. I glanced at my watch and saw the hands strucked 7:00. The gates of hunger and boredom are open. Leah, Ella and I went to Mcdo for dinner. Gaad, we're so hungry! Too bad I wasn't able to see the mob dance of the Live It Up, performed by the class mayors and vice mayors. I totally forgot about that thing! Plus, the amazing "Mass Planking" they're talking about! Gaah! All I know is disco is the last thing to happen there. K. Back off regrets, you're not allowed in me. :P

For anti-boredom, instead of answering the evaluation sheets, my classmates (including me) made paper planes and throwed it to each other. LOL. But we also regretted that we we're not able to answer those. Self-therapy shall I call it.
"Can we pretend that paper planes in the sentrum are like shooting stars? We should've made a wish that time, wish that time, wish that time."
Oh no! Jorene and I almost had the same top. LOL
L-R; Lance, Angelica, Mish, Jorene. This is what you call "Anti-Boredom": Pictorial sessions.
unorganized collage. LOL.

CITE Department side. Yes, we were supposed to be sitting in that part. :P
The view up the bleachers where we were seated. Parang nasa concert noh?

Whew! How we wish it happened how everyone expected it to be. Hopefully, if there is gonna be another event, we really are gonna have fun, not some people only.

And the most disappointing thing for me? No free food. :|

Kthnxbye.

Word of the Day: TRUST

I entered De La Salle Lipa 7:25 in the morning, July 14, 2011. I wondered where are my classmates waiting. Then I saw them at the loading bay. That's the waiting area in front Sentrum. Yes, it's our Recollection Day. Sounds exciting, huh? More time to spend with my new classmates. While waiting, I asked Leah and Jomer if they are eating pickles. I feel like it's not that familiar to them. I brought it out from my bag and Jomer opened it. As I was taking a bite, most of my classmate's reaction were, "Eew!", "Diba, maasim yan?", one tried to eat it, but she spit it out. That one was Jorene, I think? They say it's too smelly. Only Leah appreciated it. Okay. Not a big deal.

As cameras were brought out from the owners' bags, I felt something. I felt kinda sad. I don't know. Maybe because I'm not the girl who always have a camera on her hand and can express herself by taking pictures all the time anymore. If I would, I feel awkward. From that, I felt so different. College, is so different from highschool. I feel like college is back to zero. Okay, adopt adopt adopt.

Since IT1A was also there at the waiting area, I thought that we're gonna spend our recollections together. I don't like the idea, until we came to the place called Samba Samba at Blu Roze. There is enough chairs for one class. Okay, much better. :)

I spent most of my day with Leah. We were seated together, too. :) Miss Peachy first oriented us of what is our Recollection all about. She said that Recollections happen once a year only. For first years, It's all about Faith. Second Year, Service, Third year, Communion, and for the Fourth Year, all of the FSC. She gave us a mini handbook entitled, "FAITH Confidence in God First Year College Recollection Workbook".

The activities started with an opening song called "Footprints in the Sand". Though I know the story already, still, I got touched with the story of the song. I heard Leah say "Aww" when I said that too. :) When Miss Peachy said that our recollection is all about Faith, my first thought was all we're gonna do is pray, pray and pray. But as the event goes on, I've made a lot of realizations in my life. We had an activity wherein there are six groups whose members are all gonna be blindfolded one by one, walk from one part of the hall to the other part with the help of the groupmates' or the classmates' (if they will choose to help or distract) direction command, and then get back to where he/she started walking from. Everyone's eyes got a chance to be wrapped around a big hanky and walk with a black sight. Some were lost, some successfully came back, some, almost. Well there's something about the activity. Luckily, our group won. With the determination of our class mayor who tend to be our groupmate, to get 5, not 4 points too, like what the 2 previous groups had. Trust in ones' self and to other people. That's what's important.

Billy hugging the post. HAHA!

Ethel, confidently walking  for the goal points.

After that, Miss Peachy asked every group to form a small circle and share our own Personal Job Experience. From that activity, I realized and completely knew that the people who always smiles, laughs and you feel like have no problems in life are those who are really in need of love and care in life. My heart kinda cried when we saw Ethel cried after a song was played while our eyes were closed, though I teared too. Life really has a very looong defenition.
Our group, group 6's heart to heart talk. Madaya si Mario, hindi nag-share!
Our last activity after lunch was conducted by sir Henri. He asked each one of us how many people from our class do we trust after a month of being together since first day of school. Everybody answered All, expect me, answering 4. I know it's not really their intention of saying all. I think they are just afraid of what other's might think about them. Like "Hey, he don't trust me, why should I trust him?", and some more other reasons. Maybe, others will answer none, but they're just afraid. But somehow, these answers have corresponding explanations. In me, I said 4, but after that, I'm telling myself that I should've just said one. Because that one is the only one who knew a secret of mine and trust the most. Then he provided a candle of trust wherein one will give it to the person he/she trusts. Surprisingly, many gave me the candle. :) *My heart smiles*. After that is a big and gay group hug! >:D<
Rap, giving KitKat the candle
A big group hug

Vice Mayor and Mayor at the center for the last group hug. HAHA!
For the last part of the recollection is a mass held at Molave Pavillion by a priest from Capuchin.

Sir Henri said the most important part of the Recollection is the Break Time and the Lunch Time, cause it shows how the students bond with each other the way they wanted, because in the sessions inside the hall, everyone is forced to do it with everyone, though some are not. Well, I think it's true. I was with Leah the whole Break and Lunch Time. Nag-sosolo flight nga daw kami, sabi ni Tricia. All of us, played at the playground, Solved the maze, went over the bridges, swung at the swings, discovered the animals, and some took a nap, and most of all, took pictures. :)

It had been a very nice day for us to have let's say, quality time together. Thanks to Miss Peachy and Sir Henri for making this thing successful. Wait, was it? Somehow, for sure, it is. :)

As time goes by, IT1B partly attaches to my heart. Maybe it's because I saved a space in my heart for new friends, and they are my boarders. I know they will leave soon, but it's happy to know that I have made new friends. :)

Too bad we didn't have our class picture together. I just envy IT1A. :P
Us, Girls. Missing: Tricia, Shane, Dianara
We returned to our school at 4:15 I think? and we headed to MB to check out our letter boxes. Another surprise, I received some letters. Though it's kinda not a big deal for me of receiving those letters, I still appreciate cause I received some from people I know and some from I don't know. I loved Jorene's letter the most. :) But seriously, I really am not expecting to receive one.

At MB checking out the letters in the boxes.
Didn't know it was Nad's Birthday that day. Belated Happy Birthday then! Wish we we're treated too!

Good day, good day. :) ♥
